Fragmented UI, duplicated efforts and inconsistent standards were slowing delivery and creating technical debt across web, app, email and partner experiences.
I led, created and owned the creation of a design system to address process inefficiencies, poor quality and culturally lead Flybuys into the future. Establishing and defining scalable tokens, reusable components (that don't get detached), and a visual language embedded directly into workflows via Figma, Xcode, Android Studio, and Storybook.
Undertaking workshops, interviews and jams with the broader business, allowed 100% adoption across each squad to adopt one system and one language.












I eliminated duplicated design and engineering effort, saving over 150,000 hours of effort (and still counting) and preventing millions of dollars in technical debt. The system accelerated iteration and delivery across an agile environment, provided notable cross-channel consistency, reduced delivery risk and drove core experience principles by freeing up time to innovate.
